StimuMaize Proprietary Blend
Contains ingredients that are scientifically proven to increase exercise
capacity, mid-set recovery, nutrient absorption, and energy available
for muscle contractions.
Citrulline Malate – Citrulline is an alpha amino acid that is derived
from watermelon bonded to Malate; an intermediate in the citric acid
(Krebs) cycle. Citrulline Malate helps maintain high arginine levels in
the blood, increase ammonia removal from the body, and directly
increases anabolic signaling. Supplementation with Citrulline Malate has
been shown to increase muscle ATP concentration during exercise by over
30% and increase rate of Creatine Phosphate (PCr) resynthesis by 20%.
Guarana Seed Extract – An extract of the Paullinia cupana plant seed
that contains 2-4.5% caffeine (compared to coffee beans which contain
1-2% caffeine). Supplementation of Guarana Seed extract has shown to
increase mood and alertness as well as increase mobilization of fat from
fat cells. Also has been shown to accelerate metabolism and increase
energy levels due to the caffeine content.
Ginkgo Biloba – An extract of the Chinese Ginkgo biloba plant that has
been shown to increase peripheral blood flow in the body by reducing
“stickiness” of blood platelets. Increasing blood flow to the working
muscles accelerates the rate at which nutrients and oxygen can be
delivered to the muscles and waste can be removed, allowing for greater
exercise capacity.
Pycnogenol – Antioxidant shown to reduce damaging free radicals and
increase exercise endurance and circulation. Enhances Nitric Oxide (NO)
production by increasing nitric oxide synthase activity, the enzyme
responsible for catalyzing the conversion of Arginine to NO.
Waxy Maize – A long chain starch carbohydrate that is derived from corn
that is absorbed across the GI tract as fast as simple sugars despite
its larger molecular weight. Waxy Maize also increases the absorption of
other nutrients allowing for faster delivery to metabolically active
cells. The insulin spike created by Waxy Maize is similar to dextrose
and maltodetrin allowing for delivery of glucose and amino acids to
working and recovering muscles.
AminoPulse Proprietary Blend
Contains a blend of amino acids that are scientifically proven to
increase anabolic signaling, buffer lactic acid, increase NO production,
and maximize muscle growth.
Arginine – An alpha amino acid that is considered conditionally
essential by the human body. Supplementing with arginine is purposed to
increase Nitric Oxide production in the body and therefore increase
vasodilation and delivery of nutrient rich blood the the working
muscles.
Beta-Alanine – A naturally occurring Beta-amino acid that is the
rate-limiting precursor to Carnosine. Supplementation with Beta-Alanine
has been shown to increase muscle Carnosine concentration, thus
decreasing fatigue and increasing total muscular work performed.
Beta-Alanine supplementation buffers lactic acid thereby increasing
exercise capacity
Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) - Refers to the three Alpha-amino acids
Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine. These amino acids contain non-linear
side chains and together make up approximately 1/3 of skeletal muscle in
the body. BCAAs stimulate the effect of insulin through 3 different
mechanisms and provide rapid absorption and delivery rate of anabolic
essential amino acids to recovering muscle. Supplementation with BCAAs
has shown to increase P70- S6k phosphorylation which increases anabolic
signaling in skeletal muscle tissue.
Isoleucine – One of the 3 essential Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)
that cannot be synthesized by the body. It is heavily involved in
preventing muscle catabolism, replacing muscle protein, and increasing
muscle growth when supplemented at appropriate levels.
Leucine – The most studied and beneficial of the 3 essential BCAAs that
cannot be synthesized by the body and are essential when performing
resistance exercise. In adequate amounts Leucine can increase anabolic
signaling by increasing P70-S6k Phosphorylation and mTOR, this signaling
pathway increases muscle protein synthesis and cell proliferation.
Valine – One of the 3 essential BCAAs that cannot be synthesized in the
body. Valine is heavily involved in reducing muscle catabolism,
increasing anabolic signaling through P70-S6k Phosphorylation, and being
used as energy in glycolysis.
Whey Protein Hydrolysate – Isolated whey protein that has had the
peptide bonds between amino acids hydrolyzed (broken), this allows for
fast digestion and absorption to provide an immediate amino acid source
to the working or recovering muscle. Hydrolyzed Whey is lactose free and
is the most expensive and pure form of whey protein available; it is up
to 99% protein by weight.
Whey Protein Isolate – Moderate absorption rate, high bioavailability,
and a low lactose form of whey protein. Whey protein isolate is
approximately 90% protein by weight (compared to whey concentrate which
can range from 29%-89% protein by weight) and contains low levels of
fats and sugars in the form of lactose.
VitaVol Proprietary Blend
Contains a blend of ingredients that is proven to increase strength,
encourage cell growth, and elevate endogenous creatine production during
exercise.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that has a large role in
fatty acid and leucine metabolism in gluconeogenesis (derivation of
sugar molecules such as glucose from non-sugar molecules for use as
energy by the body). Biotin is also largely involved in cell growth, the
citric acid cycle, and transferring carbon dioxide. There is also
evidence that Biotin plays a role in regulating blood sugar levels.
Creatine – A naturally-occuring, organic compound that is involved in
resynthesizing ATP in skeletal muscle tissue. Creatine is made up of 3
amino acids; glycine, arginine, and methionine. Supplementation with
creatine is very conclusive and has been shown to have ergogenic effects
including; increased muscle growth, increased muscle strength, quicker
recovery time between sets, and improved anaerobic capacity by
resynthesizing ATP and increasing availability for powerful muscle
contractions. In FUEL-XRM creatine is bonded to:
Alpha-Ketoglutarate (oxo-ketoglutarate) – A Keto-acid caused by the
deamination of glutamate. AKG is an important intermediate that fuels
the krebs and is an important nitrogen transporter. Has been shown to
prevent muscle protein depletion after a trauma (such as heavy weight
lifting) and athletic performance by increasing blood flow and energy
production.
Taurine – A naturally occurring sulfonic acid that is heavily involved
in skeletal muscle functioning, cellular calcium/electrolyte
homeostasis, brain functioning, and regulating blood lipid levels.
Taurine supplementation has been shown to decrease oxidative damage
caused by evercise, increase long-term potentiation (LTP) and neural
transmission, as well as supports the proper functioning of skeletal
muscles.
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is heavily
involved in cellular metabolism (most cells in the body) and energy
production. Another function of Vitamin B12 is to regenerate the levels
of Folate (Vitamin B9) in the body and regulates and DNA synthesis.
Dihydroxy-acetone-phosphate (DHAP) - One of two metabolites of fructose
1,6-bisphosphate in glycolysis. DHAP is isomerized (converted into)
glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P) which is then used in glycolysis for
generation of ATP for muscle contractions. Supplementation with DHAP
increases the concentration of G3P (per Le Chatelier’s Principle) and
increases amount of ATP available.
Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is found
naturally in leafy green vegetables and is essential to many bodily
processes throughout all stages of life. Folic Acid is heavily involved
in synthesis, repair, and remethylation of DNA. It is an essential
compound for rapid cell division and growth and is important during
pregnancy (preventing neural tube defects), birth, and adulthood. Folic
Acid is extremely important for synthesizing healthy red lood cells and
preventing anemia.
Guanidinoacetate – A metabolite of the amino acid Glycine and a direct
precursor to Creatine. Guanidinoacetate is heavily involved in creatine
synthesis as well as preventing Guanidinoacetate Methyltransferase
Deficiency (GAMTD) a metabolic disorder that affects the nervous system.
Niacin (Vitamin B3) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is involved in DNA
repair, steroid hormone synthesis, and is a precursor to NAD, NADH,
NADP, and NADPH. NAD and NADH are coenzymes that are involved in the
Citric acid Cycle and Oxidative Phosphorylation, NADP and NADPH are
involved in anabolic activity in the body.
Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is found
in legumes, whole grains, meat, and eggs. Pantothenic Acid is essential
in synthesis of Coenzyme A (CoA), CoA is essential for oxidation of
Fatty acids as use for energy as well as oxidation of Pyruvate to
generate energy for muscle contractions in the citric acid cycle.
Vitamin B5 has also been found to improve oxygen utilization efficiency
as well as reduce the build up of lactic acid in athletes.
Pyridoxine HCl (Vitamin B6) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is required
for the production of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine,
epinephrine, and norepinephrine. Pyridoxine also assists in balancing
sodium and potassium ratios in the cell as well as promoting red blood
cell production and cardiovascular health.
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is found in
legumes, dark green vegetables, tomatoes, almonds, milk, and cheese.
Riboflavin is essential for synthesis of cofactors Flavin Mononucleotide
(FMN) and Flavin Adenine Dinucleotide (FAD) which are involved in
oxidation-reduction reactions, Riboflavin is also involved in energy
metabolism as well as metabolism of ketones, carbohydrates, fats, and
proteins.
Thiamine (Vitamin B1) – A water-soluble B-Vitamin that is found in pork,
yeast, and cereal grains. Thiamine synthesizes coenzymes in the body
that perform dehydrogenation reactions in carbohydrate metabolism and
the synthesis of pentose sugars. Thiamine is converted into Thiamine
Phosphate derivatives that help generate ATP for muscle contractions as
well as sugars as a source of energy. Thiamine is also important for the
production of acetylcholine (neurotransmitter) and the synthesis of
myelin in the nervous system.
